Responsibilities
Assist in conducting activities in connection with recreation and community services programs of assigned recreational or school facility.
Provide responsible childcare and/or customer service to program participants.
Perform related work as required.
Qualifications
Equivalent to the completion of tenth (10th) grade.
Ability to organize and supervise recreational activities for varying age groups.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and Town of Apple Valley staff.
Must be 16 years of age or older; incumbents under the age of 18, who are required to attend school, must provide a California Worker’s Permit.
Experience in athletics, recreational activities, or working with children is highly desired.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) for infant, child, and adult and a Standard First Aid Certificate is required within two (2) weeks of employment offer.
Must be available between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, with some weekends required.
