We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director with an art direction background who can both lead and make. This is a player‑coach role. You’ll concept and execute high‑level work while also guiding teams, shaping creative direction, and helping elevate the department.
You should be comfortable owning large initiatives, presenting to senior‑level clients, mentoring junior creatives, and stepping in to refine work before it leaves the building. You understand how to balance bold creative with real‑world client objectives and budgets. You push design as much as the concept and elevate the work of designers, art directors and writers working with you.
You’ll partner closely with department leads to ensure the work is strategically sound, visually sharp, and consistently strong across accounts. No ego, but passion for the work and craft, mixed with hustle to work on anything from day‑to‑day small projects to larger campaigns simultaneously.
What you’ll do
Lead concept development for major campaigns and brand initiatives
Provide clear creative direction to Art Directors, Designers, and Copywriters
Mentor and develop mid‑level and junior creatives
Elevate and refine work across multiple accounts
Lead and raise the bar for design across all mediums
Present and sell creative to clients and internal stakeholders
Translate strategy into compelling visual systems and campaign platforms
Ensure consistency and craft across all deliverables
Collaborate with Strategy, Account, Media and Production teams to execute cross‑channel campaigns
Step in hands‑on when needed to push work across the finish line
What we’re looking for
8–12+ years of agency experience
Proven leadership and mentorship experience
Experience presenting to and working directly with senior‑level clients
Deep understanding of integrated campaigns across channels
Strong design sensibility and ability to provide clear, constructive feedback
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
Comfortable in UX, digital, print, out‑of‑home, experiential and other mediums
Ability to balance multiple accounts while maintaining creative quality
Available to work hybrid in Houston, or willing to self‑relocate
Growth Path The ACD role is a key step toward Creative Director. We promote based on leadership, creative excellence, team development, and business impact.

401(k) with employer match plus profit sharing
PTO includes Summer Fridays and a generous holiday calendar
NO SOLICITATIONS.
Direct applicants only. Love Advertising is an equal opportunity employer.
