Kent-Sussex Industries (KSI) is seeking a dynamic and motivated
Assistant Program Director
to help lead and strengthen our programs. This is a key leadership role for a professional ready to influence program performance, mentor staff, and uphold the highest standards of care and compliance.
Position Overview Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Starting Salary: $54,000 annually

Reporting directly to the
Program Director , the Assistant Program Director partners closely with the Operations Management Team to ensure smooth, compliant, and high-performing program operations.
The Leader We’re Looking For This role is designed for a strong operational leader who understands:
Staff supervision and performance management
Health and safety oversight
Compliance with home and community-based service regulations
Case management documentation review and approval
Program census management and staffing ratios
Quality assurance and regulatory standards
You will serve as a driving force behind operational consistency, staff accountability, and participant well-being.
Core Leadership Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of assigned programs
Manage and monitor health and safety compliance
Review and approve participant care plans and electronic documentation
Ensure health records are accurate, complete, and current
Supervise, train, retrain, and mentor staff
Maintain staffing ratios and daily census requirements
Support policy implementation and compliance initiatives
Monitor community engagement activities and staff assignments
Attend annual care plan meetings as needed
Respond to emergencies and ensure participant well-being
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality standards
This role requires a leader who can balance administrative oversight with hands-on program engagement.
Qualifications & Experience We are seeking candidates who bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred)
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience (preferred)
Demonstrated leadership in a human services or healthcare setting
Strong regulatory and compliance awareness
Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards
Technical & Administrative Proficiency:
Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Working knowledge of office equipment and electronic documentation systems
Additional Requirements
Ability to pass Criminal Background, Adult & Child Abuse Registry, and Sex Offender checks
Valid Delaware Driver’s License (no more than two moving violations)
Ability to provide physical assistance and support participants in emergencies
