Overview

Join the QuickBooks Digital Experiences team as a Senior Design Technologist to build customer-facing AI conversational experiences. As part of our mission to help small and medium business owners get the best from their Intuit products, we are transforming into an AI-powered intelligent platform. Anticipating customer needs and delivering help at the right moment is our priority. As a Senior Conversation Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing AI conversations for our customers. We are seeking a high-energy, customer-obsessed, highly-technical individual with experience building chatbots and voice assistants, with skills in prompt design, human-in-the-loop AI evaluations and creation of golden datasets to train conversational models. This role will give you the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, product managers, and UX designers. Responsibilities

Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve customer experiences and drive business goals in conversational products like chatbots and voice assistants

Develop end-to-end conversation principles, design strategy, playbooks etc and get alignment from stakeholders like engineering and data science

Build prompts for generating golden datasets for training AI agents

Perform AI answer evaluations at scale with LLM models and human experts

Drive multiple projects with adherence to deadlines, quality and business metrics

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

6 years of design experience, with at least 4 years of conversation design experience and 1 year working on AI agentic platforms

Expertise in data analysis, prompt engineering and AI tools to efficiently deliver artefacts like golden datasets, trends in user responses etc

Knowledge of language modeling and machine learning frameworks (such as NLUs, RAG databases, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar).

Working understanding of code (html, python, xml, regex) in order to create dynamic dialog-flows using Boolean logic and decision frameworks

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing stakeholders, mentoring team members and developing talent

Experience in conducting user research and usability testing, experiment design and data analysis

Education or certifications in Interaction Design, HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, Prompt engineering or related field preferred

To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area California $149,000- 201,500
