
Position Summary
The Leasing Agent is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue by managing the full leasing cycle, from lead generation to move‑in. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective residents and plays a key role in delivering a professional, responsive, and high‑quality leasing experience. The Leasing Agent works closely with the Property Manager and Maintenance team to ensure apartment readiness, accurate documentation, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Leasing & Sales
Manage the full leasing cycle: prospect inquiries, tours, application processing, and lease execution.
Conduct engaging and professional property tours.
Follow up with prospects within 24 hours to maximize conversion.
Maintain accurate and timely lead tracking in the property management system.
Achieve leasing and occupancy targets established by management.
Administrative & Compliance
Process rental applications and coordinate credit and background screenings.
Prepare lease agreements and ensure accurate documentation.
Maintain organized resident and prospect files.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
Property Presentation & Marketing Support
Ensure show units and tour paths are clean, ready, and marketable.
Report maintenance or curb appeal concerns that may impact leasing.
Support marketing initiatives and outreach efforts as needed.
Customer Experience & Retention
Provide professional and courteous service to residents and prospects.
Assist with renewal follow‑up and resident retention efforts.
Address concerns promptly and elevate issues when necessary.
Other Requirements
Availability to work Saturdays is required.
Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong communication and closing skills.
Professional presentation and customer‑focused mindset.
Basic computer proficiency; experience with property management software preferred.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
