Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Trainer – Sales & Field Operations to join our Training Department and support the onboarding and ongoing enablement of our Channel Sales and Installation Partners. This role is ideal for a versatile professional who combines hands-on technical solar expertise with strong sales acumen and instructional skill. The Trainer will facilitate pre- and post-onboarding training across sales, design, and field operations, ensuring partners are equipped to perform confidently, compliantly, and efficiently. This role works closely with the Head of Training to deliver high-impact learning experiences across in-person, virtual, and on-demand formats. This position is based in our Irvine or San Francisco, CA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver structured onboarding for Channel Sales and Installation Partners, covering product knowledge, sales process, basic design concepts, field workflows, and quality expectations Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions for groups of 50+ learners, ensuring engagement and retention through interactive delivery (role play, scenarios, case examples) Train partners on consultative selling, customer expectation setting, documentation accuracy, and proper handoff from sale to installation Reinforce installation readiness standards, safety awareness, escalation paths, and operational compliance requirements Provide ongoing enablement through refresher training, new product/process rollouts, and targeted coaching based on performance trends Collaborate with Sales, Field Operations, Quality, and Product teams to identify knowledge gaps and translate recurring issues into training updates Develop and maintain training materials including slide decks, facilitator guides, job aids, checklists, and knowledge assessments Track training completion, partner readiness, and learning effectiveness using LMS reporting, assessment results, and feedback surveys Support continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods to reduce rework, increase partner performance, and improve customer outcome. Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support in-person onboarding, partner ride-alongs, or field-facing training initiatives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in the solar industry with exposure to sales and/or field operations 2+ years of experience in training, enablement, or instructional role within an enterprise organization Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience Proven ability to facilitate virtual and live training sessions for 50+ adult learners Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and sales-focused audiences Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training priorities in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel up to 10%, based on business needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of experience in the solar industry with demonstrated exposure to sales, operations, design, and/or installation workflows Proven experience training, coaching, or enabling channel partners, dealers, or third-party installer networks Familiarity with B2B2C sales structures and partner-led customer acquisition and delivery models Working knowledge of CRM and LMS systems, along with proposal tools and/or field operations platforms used to manage the sales-to-install lifecycle Training certification and/or formal instructional design experience (or comparable professional accreditation) Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc.
