Senior Informix Database Administrator (DBA) Specialist

Overview
Join our dynamic team at GovCIO as we seek an Informix Database Administrator (DBA) Subject Matter Expert to contribute to our Courts proposal. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and will be based in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance in the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation, and maintenance of various database management systems (DBMS), including Informix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
Execute data movement tasks, troubleshoot database issues, and develop scripts for routine database operations.
Manage complex databases with a focus on JCL, access methods, validation checks, protection, and security.
Perform installations, configuration, migrations, restores, and ensure security and performance are always maintained.
Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support and prepare presentations on key DBMS concepts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience).
Strong foundational knowledge of database administration and operations.
Ability to effectively develop and implement creative solutions to complex challenges in alignment with organizational goals.
Experience with Informix configuration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
Basic scripting skills for automation purposes.
