It is present in over 100 countries with over 23,000 employees worldwide.

Overview We are seeking a proactive, organized, and professional Associate, Corporate Communications, based in Chicago. Reporting into Publicis Media’s SVP, Communications, this role is critical in supporting Publicis Connected Media’s central operations.

In addition to administrative/operational duties, this individual will support the execution of external communications activities, including speaking opportunities, awards strategy, executive positioning, and thought leadership. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to learn how a high-performing communications team runs, from the engine room to the spotlight. The role offers significant exposure, hands‑on experience, and tons of room for growth, learning, and ownership across media relations, executive communications, awards, and thought leadership. This is an opportunity to build real skills, take on responsibility quickly, and, ideally, grow into bigger scope over time.

The ideal candidate brings an understanding of the advertising media landscape, quick strategic thinking, and the maturity to collaborate across levels and job functions. They are self-directed, low‑ego, and action‑oriented; someone who looks for what needs to be done and does it, whether that’s prepping an executive, building a tracker, fixing a deck, project managing the broader communications team, or handling last‑minute logistics. They are comfortable balancing high‑level exposure with hands‑on execution and are eager to learn by doing.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Publicis Media and Connected Media communications teams to optimize operational processes.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior leadership across disciplines.

Support and develop external reputation‑building initiatives, including media relations, awards strategy, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership.

Organize, maintain, and amplify shared resources critical to the strategy and success of communications teams, including internal trackers, editorial/product awards, upcoming speaking events and press lists.

Own, develop and optimize content for Publicis Media’s LinkedIn content across entities.

Monitor news landscape daily for press mentions while noting industry trends, while handling internal reporting and tracking.

Use Microsoft Copilot and related tools to support drafting, summarizing, editing, and optimizing communications materials, helping the team move faster and work smarter.

Contribute ideas for improving team efficiency, templates, and workflows using AI and automation where appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.

Adept organizational skills; administrative experience a bonus.

2 years of communications experience; previous exposure to advertising/media industry is a bonus.

Collaborative with strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

Excellent editing and proofreading skills.

Desire for personal growth and development. This team is dedicated to developing its talent by offering opportunities to own projects and get involved on stretch initiatives.

Comfort and interest in leveraging Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools, particularly in leveraging them to improve speed, quality, and efficiency of work.
