Role Overview We are seeking a results‑oriented, highly organized professional to support the WMAZ and WZDX sales teams. The position partners closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to drive Total TV (linear, OTT, and digital) revenue growth. Responsibilities include generating data‑driven insights through market research and competitive analysis, creating sales presentations, managing order entry, and ensuring flawless campaign execution from avails generation to make‑goods. The role delivers superior customer service to agencies and direct clients while maintaining sales materials and workflow systems that empower Account Executives with relevant information.

Responsibilities

Develop tailored packages, proposals and client‑focused sales presentations that clearly communicate Total TV opportunities and value within integrated media campaigns.

Act as a strategic advisor by leveraging ratings data, competitive intelligence tools, and AI resources to conduct client research and provide market insights that empower Account Executives in client conversations.

Organize, maintain, and update sales materials, presentations, and marketing collateral ensuring Account Executives have immediate access to current, professional materials for client meetings.

Attend sales meetings and training sessions to gain product knowledge, stay informed on TEGNA’s broadcast, OTT, and digital solutions, and maintain the ability to discuss solutions with team members.

Generate and maintain current inventory availability across linear and digital platforms, respond to avails requests, and support client proposals and sales presentations. Process and enter advertising orders accurately into the traffic system and ensure seamless campaign execution from order to air.

Prepare attribution reports for OTT and linear TV campaigns, synthesizing data into actionable presentations.

Monitor campaign delivery, pull posts to address under‑delivery situations, coordinate make‑good schedules, and ensure clients receive full value on their advertising investments.

Process co‑op advertising invoices following client guidelines, prepare special billing as needed, and ensure timely and accurate invoices that support client reimbursement processes.

Complete required forms and updates in Monday.com to ensure accurate workflow tracking, team coordination, and commercial production project visibility across both markets.

Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team objectives.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of operational or administrative support experience in media, advertising, or sales‑related environments, preferably.

Proven ability to support pre‑sale and post‑sale campaign implementation and client service responsibilities that enable sales teams to focus on revenue generation.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; ability to leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to generate insights and build sales presentations.

Capability to learn with CRM software, traffic systems (Wide Orbit), and project management tools; quick to acquire new software systems.

Understanding of broadcast television advertising, Comscore ratings, OTT/streaming platforms, and digital advertising concepts; ability to articulate TEGNA’s multi‑platform solutions.

Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple accounts, campaigns, and projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Strong analytical skills with ability to track campaign performance, identify trends, and translate data into actionable insights that support revenue growth conversations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor in all client and internal interactions.

Detail‑oriented with high standards for accuracy and quality; recognizes that precision in fulfillment builds client confidence and retention.

Team‑oriented mindset focused on supporting Account Executives’ success as the primary measure of performance.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and client information appropriately.
