Event Marketing Specialist (Contract/Remote)
Seeking a contract Event Marketing Specialist to plan, promote, and execute in-person and virtual events that drive brand awareness, engagement, and leads. This role manages end-to-end event marketing, from strategy and promotion through execution and post-event follow-up.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing plans for conferences, trade shows, regional events, and webinars.
Lead pre-event promotion across email, social, web, and sales channels.
Coordinate event logistics, including virtual platforms, booth experiences, signage, and on-site engagement tactics.
Manage run‑of‑show, speaker coordination, technical checks, and live engagement for virtual events.
Create lead capture and follow‑up workflows in partnership with sales and related teams.
Track and report on event performance, including registrations, attendance, engagement, and lead impact.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in event marketing or demand generation.
Proven success managing both in‑person and virtual events.
Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
Experience with webinar/virtual event platforms and basic CRM or marketing automation tools.
Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
