About Rundoo ℹ️

Our mission is to empower independent supply stores with best-in-class technology. Think of your local hardware store or mom-and-pop nursery—these are our clients. From paint to lumber to flooring, over 200,000 such stores across the country sell over $1T of building materials annually using outdated, on-premises systems. We’re aiming to help them modernize so that they can continue to thrive.

Backed by leading investors including Bessemer and CRV, we’ve raised $18M across three rounds and are growing quickly. Our team is made up of builders, sellers, and industry veterans with a shared goal: to bring modern technology to an overlooked industry.

What you’ll achieve with us

You’ll build and own Rundoo’s entire customer education function — starting as a hands-on IC creating content daily, and growing into the person who defines the strategy, tooling, and systems that scale it as we grow.

You’ll own and elevate Rundocs — our customer-facing documentation library — dramatically raising the quality of what exists today, writing new ones every week, and keeping the full library accurate as our product evolves.

You’ll build the multi-modal implementation library that gets clients live on Rundoo, creating walkthroughs for every core workflow so our Implementation team can send content instead of jumping on a call.

You’ll drive self-serve adoption, with your content directly contributing to our goal of getting 90% of clients live within 90 days of signing.

You’ll build a content system from scratch — there’s no existing library to inherit. You’ll design the process for tracking what needs to be created, updated, and retired as we ship 2–3 features every week.

You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Product, CX, and Implementation to stay ahead of what’s shipping and make sure clients always have what they need before they need to ask.

You’ll measure your impact — tracking content engagement, Fin answer rates, and support deflection to understand what’s working and continuously improve.

Requirements

You have experience in instructional design, learning & development, or content creation, ideally in a SaaS environment.

You are an exceptional writer — you can take a complex product feature and explain it clearly to someone who has never used software like this before.

You have hands-on experience creating training or walkthrough videos using tools like Loom, Camtasia, or similar.

You are self-directed and systems-oriented — you don’t wait to be told what needs updating; you build lightweight processes to stay ahead of it.

You are comfortable working cross-functionally, gathering input from Product, CX, and Implementation and turning it into clean, usable content.

You’re going to work 4 days a week in our office in Redwood City, CA

What’ll make us really excited

You’ve worked at a fast-shipping SaaS company where keeping content current was a real operational challenge — not just a nice-to-have.

You have experience with help center or knowledge base platforms like Intercom, Zendesk, or similar.

You have a portfolio of content you’re proud of — help articles, training videos, or onboarding materials you’ve shipped that actually moved the needle on adoption or support volume.

You have experience with e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Rise or Storyline.

You have a background in retail, point-of-sale, or vertical SaaS serving small businesses.

About The Team Here is the current makeup of the teams you’ll be working most closely with:

Vidhan — Head of Product & Client Experience

Claire — Client Success Manager

Leigh — Head of Implementation
