Greetings from ITC Infotech! Role - Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Operations Specialist Location: Bethesda, MD Start Date: Immediate Position Type: Full Time (Medical, 401K, PTO etc.)
Role Overview The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Operations Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end asset lifecycle activities, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and governance of IT hardware assets. This role focuses on handling returned consignments, validating redeployment, managing disposal processes, updating asset records, and coordinating legal hold checks in alignment with organizational policies and ServiceNow HAM Pro standards.
Key Responsibilities
Move received consignments from vendors to designated storage rooms and verify asset condition.
Validate assets for redeployment readiness and update status accordingly.
Transfer assets to disposal storage as per policy and ensure compliance with guidelines.
Update each RITM and asset record accurately in ServiceNow HAM Pro.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for all asset movements.
Coordinate with the legal team for legal hold checks before disposal.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1-5 years of overall IT experience
1-2 years of ServiceNow platform Experience with HAM and SAM (They do not need to be experts in HAM and SAM Pro)
Good understanding of IT asset management principles and compliance standards.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain well-audited accurate records.
Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination and good analytical skills
Familiarity with ITIL practices and asset governance frameworks.
Good understanding of asset lifecycle processes is preferred but not mandatory
Education Qualification Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
