About the Role The Senior Superintendent role oversees large, complex projects or multiple projects, managing daily operations of the project site including safety, quality, scheduling, site logistics, progress reporting, staffing of assigned projects.
Position Logistics

This position will be working on an industrial manufacturing facility project near the Des Moines, Iowa area
Work Schedule:
Dependent upon project schedule and progress

Position Responsibilities: Scheduling and Logistics Management
Develop and implement initial project schedules, transitioning execution to onsite field supervision. Update project schedule on a weekly basis; updates to include three-week look-ahead, critical path and recovery schedules.
Ensure field supervision effectively manages site logistics; monitors progress and meets critical milestones.
Project Oversight
Lead and oversee complex, multi-phase construction operations, ensuring excellence in execution.
Drive preconstruction planning efforts, optimizing logistics and mitigating risks for large-scale projects.
Ensure site progress is thoroughly documented and proper reports are composed and distributed at required intervals (daily, weekly and monthly)
Operational Leadership
Act as the primary decision-maker for major project challenges and complex issues with subcontractors and vendors, escalating critical issues when necessary. Lead post-construction strategies, including seamless client handover, maintenance planning, and operational guidelines.
Develop organizational post-construction policies to enhance future project success.
Site Safety
Oversee compliance with all safety protocols, audits, and subcontractor standards across projects.
Ensure all trade personnel on site have attended project-specific site orientation
Develop and implement project-specific safety plans, ensuring they are communicated, understood and executed.
Shape organizational safety policies and champion a culture of safety excellence.
Quality Assurance and Control
Define and uphold rigorous quality standards across all projects. Ensuring completed scope aligns with or exceeds project specifications, approved submittals, and industry standards.
Lead proactive risk mitigation efforts to ensure long-term project success.
Leadership
Provide leadership & mentorship to superintendents and field members
Promote a strong company culture, educating team members on the vision and goals of the organization.
Champion the professional growth and performance of field staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
General Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned
All employees are responsible for the general upkeep of work and shared spaced
Punctual and regular attendance is required of all employees

Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints Proactively drives initiatives and successfully manages projects while making high-impact decisions
Advanced technical understandings of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines. Advanced experience in construction layout, plan, and shop drawing reading.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management programs
Advanced skills using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred or equivalent industry experience 10+ years’ experience in industrial construction or other relevant construction industry
OSHA 10, OSHA 30, & CPR/First Aid Certification
Valid Driver’s License SWPPP certification
