We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team.

This is an entry-level sales position (1-3 years of sales experience) and we are hoping to train and grow our newest team member!

Upstate Coin and Gold is a leading player in the precious metals industry, dedicated to sourcing, refining, and distributing high-quality precious metals globally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through the identification,

qualification, and onboarding of new clients. This role requires a proactive approach to building prospect lists, engaging with potential clients through cold calling, and ensuring a seamless transition from lead generation to account hand-off. The Business Development Rep will also be responsible for executing trades and providing support to the trading team, ensuring that all processes are compliant and that clients receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities Lead Generation and Prospecting

Build and maintain a robust list of leads

Conduct cold calls to engage and qualify prospects.

Follow up with warm leads on the same day to maximize conversion opportunities.

Lead Management and Compliance

Track and manage leads through the compliance process

Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance to facilitate a smooth onboarding process.

CRM Hygiene

CRM must include accurate Legal Company Name, Email, Phone Number, Website, Relationship tab (all relationships), CCE, eba ID, CDN, Uploaded qualification, and any other fields/tabs that we are able to fill out

Account Management and Handoff

Ensure a seamless transition of qualified accounts to account managers.

Maintain professional communication with prospects throughout the process.

Conduct best-in-class Sales Kick-Off (SKO) meetings to align goals and strategies.

Complete Platform Gold demos to showcase product capabilities

Trading and Support

Execute trading activities for a minimum of two hours per day, with increased focus when the trading team is short-staffed.

Serve as a backup for traders when they are out of the office.

Support a minimum of 10 cases per day, addressing client inquiries and issues.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Successfully transition a minimum of 35/Month to account managers each week.

Execute a minimum of two hours of trading daily (more when the trading team is short).

Support and resolve a minimum of 10 cases per day.

Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including compliance and account managers.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Proficiency in trading platforms and the ability to execute trades.

Knowledge of compliance processes

Self-motivated with a strong drive to overachieve targets and KPIs.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence.
