
Summary
The Asset Protection Officer is essential in securing the assets of The United Family and maintaining a safe environment for both team members and guests. This role involves proactive strategies to deter theft, monitor store shrinkage, conduct safety checks, and fulfill various assigned responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly greet and engage guests as they enter the assigned area or department.
Implement effective strategies to minimize losses from all potential sources within the store.
Apprehend individuals committing theft against the company while adhering to corporate guidelines and state laws.
Follow a structured work schedule as outlined by the Asset Protection Manager.
Conduct surveillance and investigations as directed by Asset Protection Management.
Work in collaboration with management on initiatives aimed at reducing corporate shrinkage.
Perform operational audits, walkthroughs, and safety inspections at the store level.
Execute additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Key Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preference will be given to candidates with commissioned law enforcement experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, standing, lifting, squatting, climbing, walking, and occasionally running.
Open to receiving feedback and coaching on job performance and work habits.
Demonstrated decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Willingness to learn and effectively use various computer software and electronic tools.
