What You Bring To The Table We are seeking an experienced
Associate Principal
to join our Orlando leadership team. In this role, you will oversee architectural projects from early concept through completion, lead a market sector, grow client relationships, and guide staff development while helping set the strategic direction for the office.
Key Responsibilities Client & Market Leadership
Lead and grow a defined market sector in the Orlando region.
Actively source, pursue, and win new clients and project opportunities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, ensuring high satisfaction and long‑term partnerships.
Represent the firm through networking, industry engagement, and community involvement.
Project Leadership
Direct multiple projects from Pre‑Design through Construction Administration.
Manage scope, budgets, schedules, and overall project delivery.
Guide design execution in partnership with Project Designers.
Oversee consultant coordination, contracts, and communication.
Technical & Quality Oversight
Review drawings, specifications, and project manuals for clarity, quality, and compliance.
Lead building systems evaluation, detailing, and code interpretation.
Identify and mitigate technical, project, and professional liability risks.
Team & Firm Leadership
Mentor and develop emerging staff; support staffing decisions and performance reviews.
Promote a collaborative and innovative studio culture.
Encourage teams to represent and market the firm’s capabilities.
Integrated Collaboration
Work cross‑functionally with design, technical, and construction‑adjacent partners to ensure alignment on cost, schedule, and quality goals.
Who Will Be a Great Fit You are a strong, respected leader who excels at client management, project delivery, team development, and market growth. You lead with integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
Requirements 15+ years of architectural experience with leadership on complex projects. Registered Architect with a NAAB-accredited degree. Demonstrated ability to lead clients and win work through relationships and presentations. Experience overseeing multiple project teams, mentoring staff, and managing delivery. Strong technical knowledge of codes, building systems, documentation quality, and risk management.
