Job Description TS Bank has an opening for an Ag and Business Relationship Manager to be based out of our Corning, IA branch. This position is responsible for promotion and selling agriculture and commercial loan products offered by the company. In addition, this position will actively develop relationships with farmers, ranchers, and businesses who meet our company's credit standards.

Education and/or experience preferred includes: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in the field of Business, including specific courses in Accounting, Finance, and Economics; zero to three years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience And Skills

Actively seek customer feedback on Bank products and the delivery of customer service

Maintain credit quality and profitability of customer relationships

Monitor customer needs and cross sell Bank services

Ensure high service standards are maintained, including meeting deadlines on customer requests

Ensure customer defects for both business and collateral documentation are kept to a minimum

Maintain an ongoing pipeline of business, including customers and active prospects

Recognize problem accounts at an early stage and take appropriate action to protect the Bank's interests

Inspire and motivate junior colleagues to ensure a seamless relationship management service is delivered to the portfolio

Make clear and independent recommendations on all credit applications or loan actions

Optimize the potential value and profitability of existing relationships by assisting in the delivery of solutions, products and services appropriate to meet customer needs and to improve customer engagement

Call on and market agriculture and commercial loans to existing and potential clients on a regional basis and cross sell other bank products including cash management, wealth management and insurance.

Interview applicants and request specified information for loan applications: borrower’s operation size and scope, operation decision makers and individuals involved, gather obligor financial documents, and other information pertinent for proper evaluation of the loan application.

Work with the company’s credit analysts in analyzing the applicant’s financial/ credit status along with a collateral evaluation to determine the feasibility of granting loan. Correspond with the applicants to resolve questions regarding application information.

Compile loan packages and facilitate negotiations with applicants according to established standards, such as: fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms. Refer loans to loan committee for approval and ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy. Assure timely loan closing and funding activities.

Assist clients with inquiries and information requests, and resolve client issues relating to loan products and services offered.

Responsible for growth of loan portfolio.

Actively participate in the bank’s credit committee meetings.

Strive diligently to maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubled and seriously delinquent loans. Participate in the collection procedures and processes to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.

Establish and maintain positive networking relationships with loan businesses and other agricultural organizations, along with promoting the bank's favorable image.

Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.

Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees of company and the general public. Must possess good communication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PC knowledge beneficial.
