As the Global Partner Director – Google, you play a critical role in shaping and driving the strategic growth of Equinix’s global partnership with Google. This role requires the professionalism, senior‑level experience, and collaborative mindset necessary to effectively partner with key Equinix and Google leaders, leveraging their strategic input, guidance, and support to identify, evaluate, and execute the highest‑impact joint initiatives. The successful candidate will excel at aligning across leadership stakeholders—including the Director of Strategy for Google, the Google VP, the Dedicated Senior Principal Architect, and the Marketing Lead for Google—to ensure shared understanding, structured decision‑making, and coordinated execution of GTM strategies that accelerate revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Joint GTM Alignment

Partner with Equinix leadership stakeholders to incorporate strategic input, align on priorities, and shape the direction of joint GTM initiatives with Google

Lead the execution of global Equinix–Google strategy, including joint value propositions, solution alignment, and co‑sell motions

Expand co‑selling opportunities with Google’s field organizations and ensure strong joint engagement across regions

Develop and activate global and regional GTM plans integrating marketing, sales plays, solution messaging, and campaign activity

Translate Platform Equinix capabilities into differentiated, scalable joint solutions aligned with Google Cloud, Google Distributed Cloud, AI/ML, networking, and edge strategies

Program Management & Governance

Manage global program structures, partner frameworks, operating processes, and performance reporting for the Google partnership

Oversee governance cadences with Google—executive business reviews, pipeline reviews, joint planning sessions, and QBRs

Track and communicate partner performance metrics including pipeline growth, influenced revenue, bookings, and co‑sell outcomes

Create strategic program materials, messaging, and executive‑level collateral for internal and external use

Relationship Development & Field Engagement

Build and deepen relationships with senior leaders across Google’s partner, sales, and technical organizations

Maintain consistent, high‑value engagement with Google’s global partner team and field sellers, ensuring daily operational alignment and measurable outcomes

Align Equinix field sellers and Google sellers to drive meaningful cloud‑aligned revenue impact

Strengthen long‑term trust and strategic partnership momentum between Equinix and Google

Build alignment to key Regional and Global Channel partners to develop comprehensive engagement strategies with Equinix and Google jointly

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Coordination

Collaborate closely with Equinix Sales and stakeholder team members and leadership to define, align, and track short‑ and long‑term goals for the Google partnership

Work across sales, channel, marketing, product, solutions architects, global programs, and business development to drive coordinated execution

Ensure global consistency in partner strategy, messaging, and execution across all regions

Qualifications

15+ years in partner management, alliances, sales, or business development; at least 10+ years in cloud ecosystem or senior partner leadership roles

Deep experience with the Google Partner Program, including incentives, co‑sell mechanisms, and field engagement models

Strong relationships with senior Google partner, sales, and technical leaders preferred

Strong knowledge of Channel and partner ecosystem, named Global Channel partner relationships preferred

Knowledge of Google AI Technology, properties and business models preferredKnowledge of Equinix Solutions and Value Prop preferred

Proven ability to lead global joint GTM strategies and deliver co‑sell revenue outcomes

Strong understanding of cloud platforms—preferably Google Cloud—including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, networking, edge, and hybrid cloud models

Working knowledge of networking and cloud architecture

Ability to develop business plans, articulate partner performance, and build cross‑functional program frameworks

Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Team player mentality a must

Owner/Outcome approach to outcomes and results a must

Ability to influence a matrixed, dynamic environment and drive measurable results

Salesforce proficiency; strong skills with productivity and communication tools

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Ability to travel up to 25%

Targeted Pay Range United States - Ashburn Office AEO: 274,000 - 412,000 USD / Annual

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ: 299,000 - 449,000 USD / Annual

Individual pay is based on additional factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The pay range shown reflects On‑Target Earnings (OTE) and does not include equity or benefits; equity may be offered depending on the position.
