
Executive Assistant to the Art Museum Director

The Art Museum with the City of Springfield is looking for an Executive Assistant to the Art Museum Director! The Springfield Art Museum believes art is for everyone. We provide enrichment learning opportunities for all ages and abilities through opportunities such as the school programs, community outreach programs, youth and adult classes, and artist programs and exhibitions.
Through community partnerships we are pleased to provide programs such as 5th Grade Programs with Springfield Public Schools, Art is Everywhere Outreach Programs, and the All School Exhibition that encourage engagement and connection with the Springfield Art Museum. What you'll do:
Provide a high level of executive administrative support to the Director of the Art Museum.
Handles sensitive, confidential and complex administrative items on behalf of the Director
Coordinates department financial processing and budget monitoring.
Prepares a variety of correspondence and reports.
Coordinate activities for the Art Museum Board.
Personal contact with representatives of other departments, agencies, and outside consultants

Experience coordinating responsible and complex administrative support functions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent planning and organization demonstrated abilities.
Demonstrated experience using professional interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and utilize good discernment and decision-making.

Experience, Education, and Training
At least three years of responsible administrative office work.
PREFERRED
Experience with financial management software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
Licensing/Certification
Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) is desirable.
Obtain Notary certification within the probationary period.
Possess a valid driver’s license and provide own vehicle for on-the-job transportation purposes.
