
Commercial Insurance Account Manager – Onsite or Hybrid
Job Summary
An established insurance agency is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to support and service a book of commercial lines business. This role focuses on delivering high-level client service, maintaining strong carrier relationships, and contributing to account retention and growth. The ideal candidate brings independent agency experience, strong coverage knowledge, and the ability to manage accounts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and service a book of commercial insurance accounts from A–Z
Conduct client meetings and presentations; address and resolve client concerns
Review policies and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements to support retention and account rounding
Serve as liaison between clients and insurance carriers
Quote new and renewal business across various commercial lines
Process renewals, endorsements, and policy change requests
Assist clients with claims inquiries and provide coverage guidance
Support account retention efforts, including follow-up on cancellations and Broker of Record letters
Identify cross-sell opportunities and support inbound sales inquiries
Qualifications / Requirements
Holds an active P&C insurance license.
Minimum of 2+ years of independent agency experience in account management
Working knowledge of agency management software, insurance rating platforms, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibilities independently
Compensation Package
Base salary: $60,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience)
