
Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives (PSRs) at Cipher are responsible for achieving sales targets within their assigned territories by engaging with Health Care Providers (HCPs) such as physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), school nurses, and pharmacies. They also interact with wholesalers and other medical professionals who may influence product sales. The target audience for NATROBA (Spinosad) includes dermatologists, general practitioners, and pediatricians.
PSRs are expected to make 65 unique office visits per week, often making multiple visits within each group practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Professionally represent Cipher Pharmaceuticals, delivering sales presentations to HCPs in accordance with company SOPs and sales training.
Develop and execute a business plan to maximize sales potential within the assigned territory.
Successfully complete Cipher's comprehensive sales training program.
Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts.
Participate in national and regional Plan of Action meetings and product launches.
Establish relationships with regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Participate in tradeshow management as required by sales leadership (e.g., AAP, etc.).
Evaluate and adjust performance to increase prescription sales.
Maintain updated and organized account files through contact management.
Complete and submit sales reports in compliance with company policy.
Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements governing the promotion and sale of pharmaceutical products.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (BS or higher).
Must live within 30 miles of the assigned territory's headquarters.
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record (pharmaceutical sales preferred).
Valid state driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
Must pass company security and background checks.
Ability to use a personal credit card for reimbursable expenses.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in computer and digital tools.
Some overnight travel may be required.
Experience in physician sales is a plus.
Ability to lift packages of up to 25 pounds regularly.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology is a plus.
