Typical Day

Fabricate aircraft furniture and wood‑surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, engineering drawings, and aircraft specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Assemble cabinet structures by pinning, gluing, and installing hardware such as hinges, latches, and drawer slides; apply laminates, veneers, and other surface materials.

Operate stationary and hand‑held power tools to build, modify, or disassemble components in accordance with company and aerospace industry standards.

Follow all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), and accurately track work using material management systems.

Collaborate with lead technicians to improve fabrication processes using Lean and continuous improvement methods, while supporting overall team efficiency and workmanship quality.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of two (2) years of cabinetmaking experience, including hands‑on fabrication and assembly of wood furniture or subassemblies.

Working knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, materials, tools, and techniques, including laminates, veneers, and hardware installation.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and aircraft specifications to fabricate components accurately.

Proficiency using stationary and hand‑held power tools, while adhering to safety, 5S, and PPE requirements.

Ability to meet physical and technical job requirements, including basic computer literacy, lifting up to 40 lbs., working in confined spaces, and understanding written and spoken English.
