Their key responsibilities are to build marketing plans and create corresponding digital marketing assets, such as social media creative and email communications, that promote exciting programs and resources to support educators and their students.
You’ll excel in this role if you’re a creative marketer with a collaborative spirit and a knack for project management. This candidate should be comfortable with design, content creation, and monitoring multi-channel outreach campaign success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support Program Design & Resource Creation – The Manager creates communication campaigns to ensure all touch points are user‑friendly, impactful, and relevant.
Identify success metrics that ensure funded campaigns accomplish both First Book organizational and partner goals, advance our mission, and provide a valuable, positive experience for members.
Working alongside brand, corporate and non‑profit partnership managers to guide programs from ideation through to impact reporting.
Multi‑Channel Marketing – We seek a creative communicator with strong design and marketing skills. The Manager works cross‑functionally to create and execute robust marketing plans that drive awareness and usage of First Book’s products, resources, and opportunities. The Manager drives successful marketing by:
Designing content and campaign elements/assets for multi‑channel campaigns (ex: email, digital ad creative, and SMS using Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
Developing and executing communication plans to promote new resources and initiatives through paid Meta and Google ad placement, organic social, content marketing, SMS campaigns, direct mail, email marketing, etc.
Monitoring campaign performance metrics, implementing adjustments accordingly, and creating reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Experience both planning and creating design assets for successful multi‑channel marketing and communications campaigns
Experience with organic and paid social strategies
Excellent copywriting and written communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
Graphic design skills and visual creativity
Strong project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to spark, cultivate, and grow relationships
Flexible and adaptable, motivated by a fast pace
Works well at both the campaign level (using data and creativity to come up with innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (executing campaigns within marketing tools, analyzing impact, solving problems)
Takes a positive, solution‑oriented approach to opportunities and challenges
Education
A minimum of 4 years of work experience in communications or digital marketing required.
Skills & Experience
Experience managing performance‑oriented paid social media campaigns, such as Meta and/or Google Ads required.
Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Photoshop or Canva required.
Experience with Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact, or another similar email platform preferred.
Experience with WordPress preferred.
Experience with external client/partner relationship management preferred.
