The Opportunity: Cabinet Designer / Estimator As a
Cabinet Designer/Estimator , you will be responsible for producing accurate layouts, pdf drawings, material lists, and other documentation needed to support ILG’s cabinet sales. You will work closely with builders, sales teams, and installation operations to ensure customer satisfaction from bid to install.
You will operate
20/20 Design software
to create documents and drawings per ILG Design Standards, and you will play a key role in assembling cost estimates, proposals, and change orders. This role also involves providing
technical and supervisory support
to other designer/estimators across multiple markets.

What You’ll Own (Positional Responsibilities) Design & Estimation
Review, interpret, and analyze
RFP/RFQ specifications and architectural drawings
to determine scope of work and customer product requirements.
Operate
20/20 Design software
to create documents and drawings per ILG Design Standards.
Assemble
cost estimates, proposals, requests for information (RFIs), change orders , and other documentation required for complete and accurate bids.
Coordination & Supervision
Assist with
order management and coordination .
Supervise and support designer/estimators in multiple markets.
Work with all areas of cabinet sales, order management, customer care, and installation operations to ensure
customer satisfaction .
Systems & Documentation
Develop and maintain
Builder Account’s Master Books .
Maintain
Bid Tracker
and other systems such as
SAP ,
Monday.com , etc.
What You Bring (Competencies, Skills & Abilities) Core Skills
Excellent
digital, oral, and written communication skills , with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
Ability to
read and interpret construction drawings , dimensions, details, and specifications.
A thorough understanding of
kitchen and bath design , as well as various cabinet company product lines.
Strong computer skills, including
MS Word and MS Excel , and the ability to quickly learn new software, vendor portals, and EDI systems.
Excellent
analytical and mathematical skills .
Ability to
think critically and solve problems
with missing information.
Able to work
quickly and accurately
with great attention to detail.
Education & Experience
Technical degree in drafting or related field (preferred).
5 years of cabinet design experience
in the
production homebuilding and commercial industry .
Mastery level proficiency using 20/20 Design software
(required).
SAP experience
is a plus.
