Position Overview We are seeking a creative, organized
Marketing Coordinator
to join our team on-site in Brooklyn on a part-time basis (approximately 20–25 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who is looking for hands‑on experience across design, content creation, and digital outreach, with the opportunity to grow into a full‑time position as organizational needs expand.
This junior‑to‑mid level role offers mentorship, skill development, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to campaigns that support a mission‑driven organization. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening brand presence, increasing engagement, and supporting outreach initiatives across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns
across digital and print platforms
Write and edit compelling content , including articles, blog posts, newsletters/eblasts, and social media copy
Design brand-aligned graphics and visual assets
for a variety of marketing materials
Manage and regularly update Instagram and other digital platforms
Maintain a strategic content calendar
to ensure consistent and timely communication
Assist with website updates
and ensure all digital content aligns with brand guidelines
Coordinate marketing efforts for special events , including fundraising, educational, and community initiatives
Monitor industry trends
and recommend improvements to communication strategies
Collaborate with internal stakeholders
to ensure messaging supports broader organizational goals
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
Strong graphic design skills with an understanding of composition, typography, and layout
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Demonstrated ability to write and produce articles, blog posts, and marketing newsletters/eblasts
Experience in digital or content marketing; nonprofit or mission-driven experience is a plus
Familiarity with Squarespace and Microsoft Office; video creation or editing experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Polished written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning and growth
Interest in community-focused initiatives and staying current with digital marketing trends
