Business Manager, Debit Network and Portfolio Strategy Overview

As a Business Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. The Debit Strategy Team is a collaborative and energetic group of analysts who are responsible for monitoring and amplifying our debit business; we do so by creating new debit customers and deepening engagement among existing customers. Debit is one of the largest revenue drivers in the bank and is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. We represent this debit performance across the organization. Responsibilities

Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations. Utilize SQL and scripting to organize data and evaluate A/B tests, segment performance, and uncover drivers behind trends. Perform modeling and analytics to develop new product strategies. Support direct‑to‑consumer marketing and communication efforts for select products, and develop strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Frame problems, develop hypotheses, conduct tests and analysis, create solution concepts, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts, and develop monitoring plans. Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Customer Protection, and other Capital One teams to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability. Apply strong analytical orientation and quantitative skills to support rigorous marketing and credit risk management decisions. Demonstrate strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity, bringing a tenacious and responsible approach to business. Communicate effectively, providing clear, actionable insights and storytelling to stakeholders and senior leaders. Present findings in various forums, including office hours with senior leaders and organization‑wide share‑outs. Maintain a clear results orientation, driving and executing on short‑ and long‑term goals in an uncertain and fluid environment. Thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, dynamic environment; prior consulting experience is a plus. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering). At least 2 years of experience in analysis. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering. 5+ years of experience in analysis. 2+ years of experience in financial services. 1+ year of experience in consulting. 2+ years of experience in people management. Salary and Compensation

McLean, VA: $164,800 – $188,100 Richmond, VA: $149,800 – $171,000 Wilmington, DE: $149,800 – $171,000 Eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Benefits and Incentives
