Marketing Coordinator
Calling all curious, detail-oriented marketers who love solving puzzles.
We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to help build, QA, and optimize lifecycle email and SMS campaigns that connect university students with world-class brands (including L'Oréal, ESPN, and OpenAI).
This is an entry-level role designed for someone excited to grow in marketing, learning technologies, lifecycle strategy, and campaign execution. You’ll work hands-on in email marketing tools like Iterable, learn how university marketing works at scale, and support Campaign Managers. If you’re excited by systems, curious about how marketing actually works under the hood, and want to build real skills in martech, this role is for you.
Who we are At Podium Education, we believe that a college degree should be a springboard to achieving the American Dream. Yet, American Higher Education is at a crossroads: half of college graduates end up underemployed, and unemployment rates for new college grads are the highest in generations. As a result, confidence in the investment in a college education has hit an all-time low. Our mission is to help solve this problem and change the lives of millions of students. We do this by partnering with colleges and companies to supercharge the undergraduate degree by providing students with the experience, career exposure, and skills to launch a great career. Podium serves a population of over 2,000,000 students across 100 of the largest and most well-known universities in the country, including Georgetown, UNC, Harvard, ASU, and Texas A&M.
Podium Education programs are offered as online courses within standard university semesters. Through Podium, students gain real-world experience while tackling projects from the world's most recognized brands, such as L’Oreal, Netflix, Shopify, Uber, Google, and Airbnb. Our flagship program is the Global Career Accelerator (here’s an example: https://www.globaltech.asu.edu/about).
Everything we do and how we measure our success is about impacting students’ lives: Student Experience - Customer NPS is better than Netflix, Apple, and Amazon. Student Access - Programs are for credit, count toward graduation, and are financial aid eligible. One-third of our students are first-generation to attend college. Student Outcomes - Two-thirds of students say Podium helped them achieve tangible career outcomes within six months (eg, “I got my first internship”). Over 90% report feeling more confidence and clarity in their career journey. Podium Education is a privately held growth stage company based in Austin, TX with prominent investors, including Sequoia Capital, Owl Ventures, Lumos Capital Group, Learn Capital, Lachy Groom, Goldcrest Capital, and Album VC.
The Role We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Lifecycle & Growth Marketing team. This role is focused on email campaign building, QA, and learning, supporting larger lifecycle initiatives while developing strong fundamentals in email/SMS marketing, data, and marketing technology.
You’ll be trained on how we market across universities, how campaigns are built and measured, and how lifecycle marketing drives real student outcomes.
This is a great opportunity to build a strong marketing foundation, gain hands‑on experience in modern martech tools, and grow into higher‑ownership roles over time.
Responsibilities
Build and support lifecycle email and SMS campaigns in Iterable, including setup, QA, testing, and deployment
Assist Campaign Managers with campaign execution across multiple universities and programs
