What You'll Do:
Prepare meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, salads, sandwiches, beverages, and cold plates according to planned menus and dietary modifications
Serve and distribute meals in a timely, professional, and resident‑focused manner
Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining room areas
Operate kitchen equipment, including slicers, mixers, choppers, and food processors, safely and efficiently
Maintain production records and follow special diet orders
Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and inventory support
Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and floors according to health regulations
Perform dishwashing duties and dispose of waste per policy
Report equipment malfunctions and maintain safe kitchen operations
Support special events and community functions as needed
Foster positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Food Safety Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Must be 18 years or older to operate kitchen equipment
Commercial cooking or food service experience preferred
Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hour shifts
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts up to 60 lbs
