Yard Worker
As a Yard Worker, you will sort, move, and stage materials to meet size and specification requirements while supporting daily yard operations. You may operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and CAT machinery, with training provided if needed. This role requires following all safety protocols and reporting hazards or equipment issues. The work is physically demandingbending, lifting, and working in various positionsand takes place outdoors in all weather conditions. Responsibilities: Operate an oxy-propane torch to cut and prepare metal materials. Examine and measure metals to ensure they meet required specifications. Assist with general yard operations like sorting and staging materials. Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and CAT machinery. Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or equipment issues. Perform physically demanding tasks including bending, lifting, and working in various positions. Preferred Skills: Experience using an oxy-propane torch or similar cutting tools. Previous experience in metal processing, scrap yard operations, or industrial environments. Experience operating heavy equipment, including skid steers, front loaders, and CAT equipment. Ability to identify different metals. Shop math experience. Heavy equipment troubleshooting skills.
