WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY The National Hockey League is looking for our next class of interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program.

For the summer of 2026, the NHL Social Media Marketing team will welcome an intern to take on key tasks and responsibilities that will assist our day-to-day operation as well as contribute to important projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in 2025-26 post-season debriefs and 2026-27 pre-season strategic planning Contribute to player marketing strategy, ideation, and execution Work across NHL internal departments to execute marketing priorities Support communication with US and CA rightsholders (ESPN, TNT, Sportsnet, and Prime) Conduct research, analysis, and insights into emerging social & digital platforms and provide recommendations for how the NHL can activate on them Compile database of creators and influencers the NHL can work with in the 2026-27 season QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge Areas/Experience

Required

Experience in marketing and/or social media Strong comprehension of the sports business industry and trends Understanding of the ever-evolving social landscape Preferred

Specific sports-related experience preferred Education/Certifications

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Required Skills

All of our internships are paid at $20/hour. WE DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL CREDIT.
