Mixed Methods User Experience Researcher III The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our focus on customer‑centric innovation enables us to develop products that build loyalty and repeat business. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to drive growth and achieve results for our customers and the company.

At Expedia Group, we are passionate about creating exceptional traveler and partner experiences through data‑driven insights. Our Research team plays a critical role in shaping the future of global travel by uncovering what matters most to our customers. We are looking for a Mixed Methods UX Researcher III to help us investigate and craft key pieces of our product platform, including price display and merchandising.

In this role, you will:

Design and execute mixed methods user experience research using both qualitative and quantitative approaches to inform product decisions.

Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate user insights throughout the product development lifecycle.

Analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations that drive improved user experiences.

Develop and communicate research plans, methods, and findings to stakeholders at multiple levels.

Advocate for user‑centered design principles, ensuring that diverse user needs are represented across products and features.

Familiarity with AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.

5+ years of relevant professional experience.

Proven experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research across products or services.

Ability to synthesize and present research insights to multidisciplinary teams and influence product direction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of mixed methods research techniques, including survey design, usability studies, in‑depth interviews, and statistical analysis.

Experience integrating research into agile, fast‑paced product development environments at scale.

Demonstrated expertise in turning complex user data into actionable strategies for product and design teams.

Experience safely and ethically integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled processes that improve research outcomes.

Experience leveraging AI‑powered research tools or applying AI/ML approaches to user research.

The total cash range for this position in New York is $149,000 to $208,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $238,500 based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500 to $192,500, with potential increase up to $220,000. The total cash range for this position in Austin is $137,500 to $192,500, with potential increase up to $220,000.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
