This role is designed for a highly analytical professional who will drive insights and optimisation across payments operations. You will work closely with multiple teams to analyse transaction data, identify patterns and anomalies, and surface actionable insights that directly impact conversion, recovery, and revenue. The position requires deep technical proficiency with SQL and data visualisation tools, a curiosity for root‑cause analysis, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. You will monitor payment performance across regions, methods, and user journeys while supporting experimentation and strategy with rigorous, data‑driven analysis. Accountabilities
Analyse authorisation rates, declines, retries, and recovery across multiple payment methods and regions
Identify trends, anomalies, and root causes in payment performance
Support experimentation through A/B test design, analysis, and interpretation
Build, maintain, and validate dashboards for core payments KPIs
Monitor performance metrics and proactively flag optimisation opportunities or risks
Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams
Collaborate with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams to inform payments strategy
Requirements
Proven experience in analytics within payments, fintech, e‑commerce, or a related domain
Strong SQL skills; Python experience is a plus
Comfortable working with large datasets, dashboards, and key performance metrics
Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills
Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
Capable of managing multiple analyses in parallel and prioritising effectively
Motivated to develop expertise in payments optimisation and operational performance
