
Job Title: Shipper Support - DM (Nashville)
Join a dynamic team within Amazon’s Transportation Operations, where you will play a crucial role in managing daily freight movements into and out of North American fulfillment centers. This position offers the opportunity to work in a rapidly growing area, providing logistical support in a high‑pressure environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate freight movements with multiple parties to ensure high levels of customer service.
Engage in continual, tactical communication and account management with external customers such as carriers and vendors.
Extract and analyze data from various databases using Excel, Access, SQL, and other data management systems to perform ad hoc reporting.
Review reports related to appointment and arrival times, making business decisions based on the data provided.
Create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, presenting these in review forums.
Meet critical business needs within time constraints, measuring and identifying activities performed.
Lead initiatives to re‑engineer business processes, identifying and eliminating root causes of defects to drive efficiency.
Systematically escalates problems or variances in data to relevant owners and teams, ensuring resolutions are delivered.
Develop performance metrics to drive business results.
Scope out business and functional requirements for tech teams to enhance software systems and tools.
Understand business impact of trends and make decisions based on available data.
Essential Skills
Strong customer service skills with an operations focus.
Proficient in Excel and the MS Office Suite.
Strong computer and tech savviness.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently in a high‑pressure environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in transportation and logistics is a plus.
Experience in customer service, including de‑escalating and problem‑solving.
Analytical experience is beneficial, especially in resolving issues from different inputs.
Work Environment The position is 100% in‑office, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Please note that parking is not paid for.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $22.00/hr.
