
We are seeking a seasoned Copywriter III to develop clear, practical documentation and communications that support the rollout of a new Workforce Planning initiative. This freelance role is ideal for a writer who can quickly understand complex business and technical concepts and translate them into concise, actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop clear, user-focused documentation and guidance to support the implementation and adoption of Workforce Planning tools and processes.
Create tailored content for Finance leaders, HR business partners, and business unit leaders, aligning messaging with their specific needs and decision-making roles.
Write end-to-end user guides, process documentation, quick-reference materials, and best-practice playbooks.
Draft and refine content for internal platforms, including knowledge bases, intranets, and internal communication channels.
Edit and standardize existing materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with established tone and style guidelines.
Collaborate with product, HR, finance, and operations teams to gather inputs, validate accuracy, and incorporate feedback.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of professional writing experience focused on documentation, user guides, or business communications, preferably in an enterprise or B2B setting.
Demonstrated ability to transform complex technical or process-heavy concepts into clear, accessible content for non-technical audiences.
Strong understanding of business processes and organizational structures, with experience writing for both executive and operational stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and editorial standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven track record creating impactful documentation, training resources, how-to guides, and stakeholder communications that drive adoption and engagement.
Experience writing for Finance, HR, or business planning audiences (e.g., FP&A teams, HR business partners, workforce analytics, or similar functions).
Background working closely with product managers, program managers, and cross-functional teams to capture requirements and iterate content.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong user-centric mindset with the ability to anticipate questions, identify gaps, and recommend new or improved content formats.
Familiarity with workforce planning, financial planning, or HR technology platforms and their typical use cases.
