Hausmann has steadily matured into one of the region’s premier commercial general contracting, construction management, and design build firms. Our team is seeking a professional and reliable person to join our Marketing Team as the Communications Specialist.
The Communications Specialist is responsible for producing, maintaining, and organizing awareness-level marketing communications across digital and print platforms. This role turns established messaging strategy, voice, and narrative direction into clear, consistent, and compelling content that supports brand visibility, business development, and firmwide alignment. A high regard for content quality, accuracy, consistency, and storytelling across platforms is a must.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and editor with a digital-first mindset, excellent organizational instincts, and comfort working independently within established direction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a steward of awareness marketing communications, ensuring materials are current, easy to find, and consistently presented.
Own the creation, updating, and consistency of awareness marketing content:
Website content (project pages, press/stories)
Press releases (drafting, formatting, publishing support)
Social media (story sourcing, drafting, scheduling, publishing)
Articles/white papers (researching, drafting, editing, publishing)
Newsletters (external & business development)
Brochures & other print materials (in collaboration with graphic designers)
General marketing content across public platforms
Ensure all content aligns with established voice, messaging frameworks, and brand standards.
Maintain an annual publishing calendar and cadence.
Maintain an organized, accessible, and accurate content system for deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS Required:
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of English, Communications, Marketing, or Journalism, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a corporate marketing function
Experience in A/E/C, construction, professional services, or B2B environments
Excellent copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading skills
Strong narrative instincts and attention to tone and consistency
Experience producing digital and print marketing content
Highly organized with strong systems thinkingAbility to work within established strategy and voice
Comfort collaborating across teams and managing multiple deadlines
