Greystone Real Estate Capital is growing its LIHTC equity platform and is seeking a Vice President, Acquisitions Manager to join its team. The Acquisitions Manager is highly motivated and will serve as the closing lead for LIHTC equity investments. This role will be responsible for leading LIHTC equity transactions from signed LOI through financial closing, ensuring certainty of execution, high institutional-quality standards, and a strong sponsor and investor experience. The Acquisitions Manager serves as the primary deal lead for active transactions, coordinating internal teams and external partners to drive efficient, well-executed closings. The role works closely with senior leadership and functions as a key leader within the Acquisitions team. This role has the opportunity to be remote.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Sponsor and Relationship Management

Maintain clear, consistent, and highly professional communication with sponsors throughout the closing process, demonstrating strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.

Represent Greystone as a leading LIHTC syndicator by setting a high standard for execution, responsiveness, and sponsor experience.

Build and support long‑term sponsor relationships by delivering certainty of close, transparency in process, and timely, thoughtful communication.

Deal Execution and Closing

Lead LIHTC equity transactions from signed LOI through closing, managing all execution‑related activities.

Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors during the closing process.

Manage transaction timelines, deliverables, and closing checklists to ensure on‑time execution with minimal extensions.

Identify and proactively resolve issues related to underwriting, structure, capital stack changes, or timing.

Pipeline and Transaction Management

Partner closely with internal teams to:

Translate LOI economics into executable closing assumptions.

Review development budgets, sources and uses, operating projections, and capital structures.

Identify risks and propose solutions consistent with investor requirements.

Prepare investment committee materials, clearly articulating risks, mitigants, and key assumptions.

Legal and Documentation Oversight

Coordinate with legal counsel on the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements and closing documents.

Collaborate with senior leadership on business and economic terms throughout documentation and closing.

Leadership and Collaboration

Act as the Acquisitions team lead for closing execution, coordinating across, credit and underwriting, Legal, Investor relations, and Asset management.

Provide leadership and guidance on execution of best practices and process improvements.

Manage multiple active transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Six (6) to Ten (10) plus years of LIHTC industry experience, with a strong track record of closing institutional equity transactions. Prior experience at a syndicator strongly preferred.

Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to operate effectively in a fast‑paced setting.

Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present analysis clearly and concisely.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
