Join our vibrant team as an Enterprise Business Intelligence Consultant within the Enterprise Information Systems department. In this essential role, you will craft detailed reporting and analytics using cutting-edge business intelligence and analytic software solutions. We are seeking candidates with strong skills in requirements gathering, data modeling, data mining, and BI solution development, particularly in support of complex operational processes that are crucial to senior and executive management. You will excel in both collaborative and independent environments, successfully juggling multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, OBIEE, Cognos, and Power BI, along with a familiarity with data governance and management tools, is required. We also value a candidate’s enthusiasm to learn new reporting and business intelligence software.
This role may be considered at Level I or Level II, with additional qualifications and responsibilities for Level II professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze data, build data models, conduct tests, develop prototypes, forecast performance, create reports, write SQL queries, and generate insights that drive business decisions.
Identify opportunities to convert data into actionable information that enhances efficiency, business processes, risk management, and customer experience across Trustmark's functions.
Collaborate with Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Report Developers, and other teams to promote data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
Engage with executive stakeholders to prioritize tasks while ensuring they meet expectations for quality, accuracy, and business impact.
Level II Additional Responsibilities:
Provide end-user support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to BI platforms such as Cognos, OBIEE, and Power BI.
Collaborate with peers to address data anomalies that may affect analytics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related field.
At least 2 years of experience in reporting, visualization, or data extraction, or 1 year as a Trustmark IT Development Associate.
Strong proficiency in Excel, with a requirement to pass an Intermediate level Excel test.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills for identifying patterns and trends.
Knowledge of math and statistics.
Ability to manage changing priorities and be open to learning new skills.
Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Excellent interpersonal skills to manage confidential information.
Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in the banking or financial industry, project management experience, and familiarity with BI tools.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, DB2, XML, CSS, or similar technologies, along with data warehousing and governance frameworks is a plus.
Level II Additional Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in reporting, visualization, or extract development.
5+ years of experience in the banking industry is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit for long periods and operate a computer while looking at screens.
