Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Solutions Architect Consultant, you will play a crucial role in connecting clients' technical and functional requirements to effective solution designs and proposals. By working closely with clients and sales teams, you will create solutions that align with business objectives while adhering to industry best practices. This dynamic role requires you to design and develop work breakdown structures that inform pricing and statements of work. Ideal candidates are self-driven problem solvers who excel at navigating complex challenges to deliver high-quality solutions that yield exceptional results. Your typical activities may include:
Providing expert technical insights during discovery discussions with potential clients and assessing their architectural project requirements.
Leading client workshops and influencing stakeholders to identify optimal architectural solutions that align with their business and technology strategies.
Creating and engaging in solution review boards, ensuring technology assurance, quality oversight, and risk assessment.
Building and maintaining professional relationships at all levels, from engineers to C-suite executives, effectively navigating discussions to reach constructive resolutions.
This role can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 15 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles related to pre-sales or post-sales.
A minimum of 5 years in leadership roles, including mentoring, coaching, and developing technical teams.
5 years of experience in selling professional services, with proficiency in scoping large projects and crafting statements of work.
Demonstrated success in meeting revenue targets in competitive markets.
Experience with solution-oriented selling, strong logic in complex sales processes, and excellent organizational and presentation skills.
Proven ability to independently establish and close new client relationships.
Extensive knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Lakehouse, Ingestion, and Transformation technologies, with successful sales experience in these areas.
Strong collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams, including Sales Engineering and Professional Services.
Extensive experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks data platforms.
Specialized knowledge of major cloud platforms and their data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with legacy database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum).
Familiarity with non-relational data processing platforms and tools (e.g., Hadoop, HBase).
Comprehensive understanding of analytics workflows, from ETL processes to data platform design and BI tools.
Proven track record in successfully selling data and analytics solutions to enterprise clients, with the ability to identify key stakeholders and value propositions.
Hands-on experience in one cloud platform and one data platform is expected.
