We are looking for an Enterprise Networking Services Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring connectivity for Defense Health Agency (DHA) hospitals. This position requires active engagement with both internal and external customers daily. The ideal candidate will serve as an F5 Subject Matter Expert, focusing on troubleshooting security solutions that involve routing, load balancing, and application delivery.
**This is a 100% remote position**
Your Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a team to provide recommendations for troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.
Serve as the F5 subject matter expert for all tenants within the DHA network.
Conduct routine administrative and maintenance functions on F5 platforms, including installation, configuration, patching, and updates.
Perform various F5-related tasks, such as:
Supporting and developing iRules.
Creating Virtual Servers, Pools, and Nodes.
Establishing Device Groups, Trust with CA Certificates, Identity Certificates, and Traffic Groups.
Configuring network parameters like interfaces, routes, self IPs, packet filters, trunks, tunnels, and VLANs.
Managing system parameters including configuration, device certificates, and software management.
Administering and creating SSL certificates.
Troubleshooting issues in preproduction and production environments.
Monitoring system performance to swiftly identify and resolve issues.
Developing scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
You Should Have:
U.S. Citizenship.
A DoD Secret level Security Clearance.
6+ years of relevant experience with F5 platforms.
Proven experience in creating advanced application-specific iRules.
Experience managing SSL certificates effectively.
Strong skills in log analysis and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management platforms.
A background in network management and monitoring tools.
A capacity to excel in a dynamic, high-paced team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A strong sense of urgency and ability to self-manage task priorities.
Experience collaborating with sensitivity to customer needs.
Education Requirements:
Must hold IAT Level II certification, including one of the following: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP.
F5 OS certification.
Bonus Points If You Have:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.
