About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Real Estate Accounting to lead the financial reporting for a substantial commercial real estate portfolio. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic investment accounting team, collaborating on various real estate transactions and providing oversight to ensure compliance with GAAP and FV reporting standards. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, engaging with external auditors and tax practitioners, and preparing materials for internal and investor communications. The role also involves managing outsourced staff and contributing to the success of the company with innovative investment strategies.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, a CPA certification, and at least 8 years of experience in real estate accounting. A strong understanding of GAAP and FV reporting standards, as well as experience with complex real estate investment structures and agreements, is essential. The role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, the ability to manage consultants, and a proven track record of meeting time-sensitive deadlines. The ideal candidate will be adept at cultivating relationships with various stakeholders and be able to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
