Ready to dive into the captivating world of Marvel Comics? We're searching for an enthusiastic Editorial Intern to join our dynamic team! As an Editorial Intern at Marvel Comics, you'll be at the heart of comic book production, working closely with our Marvel editors. Our intern will gain exposure to every step of the comics-making process. If selected for the role, you will report to our Assistant Editor.

This part-time internship runs from June through December 2026 in the New York, New York area and offers invaluable mentorship from our team of expert editors and provides a behind-the-scenes look at the various departments within Marvel Publishing. It's more than just an internship; it's your gateway to an extraordinary, hands-on journey in the world of iconic comic book creation.

What You Will Do Every day, you'll immerse yourself in the intricate world of your favorite Marvel comics. You'll play a pivotal role in the comic creation process, from collecting reference materials and conducting research to creating book maps, writing enticing recap copy, and meticulously formatting comic scripts to prepare books for print.

But, the journey doesn't end there. You'll also have the chance to review color and line art, provide input on lettering placement, and gain hands-on experience in the editorial process. Your ability to step up and handle diverse tasks will be the key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities and Potential Projects include Editorial Work in Creating Periodical Comics Books:

Dynamic Cooperation:

Work with every editor in the department on different projects, requiring good communication and organizational skills Reference Gathering:

Research, gather, and organize references from previous publications, including visual reference and spreadsheet data Copy Writing:

Compose enticing copy for recap pages at the start of single issues and for reviews in monthly comics catalogs Ad Placements:

Decide the placement of ads and ancillary pages in comic books based on story sense Required Qualifications & Skills Please apply if you have:

Proficiency in writing is critical for crafting engaging recap and solicitation text High Attention to Detail:

A keen eye to ensure that no detail goes unnoticed is vital to the creation of print comics and ensure quality throughout the production process Time Management:

Efficient time management experience is needed to meet deadlines and fulfill your responsibilities Microsoft Office Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is a prerequisite Preferred Qualifications

Comic Book Enthusiast:

A genuine passion for comic books and a deep knowledge of the comic book industry is a plus Experience in Comic Book Publishing:

Experience in the world of comic book publishing is an additional asset Narrative-Based Media Experience:

Preferred candidates have prior experience in narrative-based media, showcasing their understanding of storytelling principles and content development Education

Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year preferred Major or previous coursework in Publishing, English, Journalism, Communications or related major preferred Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Must be at least 18 years of age Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information

Candidate must be available to work a consistent, reliable part-time work schedule (approximately 25-29 hours per week) during normal business hours Monday - Thursday for the duration of the internship from
