JOB TITLE: Marketing Intern FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

General Statement of Duties:

Performs a variety of strategic, administrative and operational duties associated with general graphic design and marketing, social media coordination and digital marketing.

Supervision Received : Works under the supervision of HRCA's Marketing and Communications staff.

Graphic Design The

Marketing Intern

takes direction from the HRCA marketing and communications staff to convert written or spoken ideas into seamless flyer layouts, social media posts, facility signage and other designs. The Marketing Intern will work with an appropriate amount of supervision deemed necessary by the HRCA marketing and communications staff and balance multiple tasks at once. Support creative design within the marketing and communications team. Adhere to HRCA brand guidelines and apply them to assignments. Work with a wide range of software including Adobe CC software (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Canva, Monday, Constant Contact and Microsoft Outlook. Create eye-catching visual concepts that engage specific audiences. Perform retouching and manipulation of images for print and digital. Gains hands-on experience and knowledge in a fast-paced creative atmosphere Social Media

The Marketing Intern will assist with social media campaigns to support all HRCA programs, events and marketing initiatives. Assist with developing and creating social media content for all HRCA programs, events and marketing initiatives. Digital Marketing

The Marketing Intern will assist with maintaining HRCA's digital marketing calendar to streamline the dissemination of materials to community and program lists. Assist with digital marketing content to distribute materials to community and program lists. Marketing

The Marketing Intern will assist with marketing campaigns to support all HRCA programs, events and marketing initiatives. Physical and Environmental Standards :

Upper body strength is a requisite to lift/move 40 pounds unassisted. Standing and walking for long periods of time; bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and climbing. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. If indoors, work is performed in a busy office where noise and interruptions prevail. If outdoors, all types of weather conditions may occur. The ability to talk and hear via the telephone and through face-to-face communication is needed. Vision requirements include near and far acuity.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of graphic design, marketing, digital marketing. Strong research, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers. Ability to work flexible hours which might include nights and/or weekends.

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Education : Bachelor's degree or enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field.

Experience:

Previous graphic design experience required. Proven written communication skills. Writing sample required. Working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok) and content creation. Basic photo and video editing skills preferred. Working knowledge of a wide range of software including Adobe CC software (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Canva, Monday, Constant Contact and Microsoft Outlook. Proven ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Collaborative, organized, detail-oriented and ability to adhere deadlines.
