Job Description
We are seeking Preschool Teachers who have met qualifications at Level 9 or higher of the OK Registry Professional Development Ladder! This individual will plan and present age‑appropriate activities for children from birth to 5 years old. This is a floater position.
Schedule:
7:30am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Pay with
CDA in ECE
or
BA/BS degree : $18.50ph
Responsibilities
Instruct and supervise preschool‑aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
Create a fun and safe learning environment
Develop and implement schedules/lesson plans and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Maintain the health and safety of all students by routine housekeeping and classroom management practices
Maintain portfolio and anecdotal notes on each child in care utilizing Teaching Strategies Gold
Maintain NAEYC portfolio with current artifacts
Qualifications
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
Passionate about working with children
Ability to build rapport with children
Positive and patient demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to lift 15-30 pounds unassisted
Must be able to accurately audit records and ensure compliance with written or oral guidelines.
Ability to take initiative, multi‑task and work well under pressure.
Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
Special Requirements Clear OSBI Fingerprinted Background Check, agree to a physical and drug screening, and complete required OKDHS training, an AA or AS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate.
