DEPARTMENT SUMMARY The Creative Department at ARGONAUT is a team of talented individuals who are passionate about unlocking the timeless potential of every brand they work with. They focus on Brand Building, Brand Scaling, and Brand Comebacks, and work closely with clients to develop and produce industry‑leading creative solutions that drive their businesses forward. Led by the Head of Creative, the team strives to push the creative envelope and raise the bar on the quality of their clients’ creative work while delivering successful solutions that work. They are known for their deep understanding of how campaigns are effective across all channels and their ability to inspire and measure agency work against high creative standards. The department is committed to developing and nurturing top talent in the creative and production community while staying current on industry trends, pop culture, and technology. Overall, the Creative Department at ARGONAUT is a highly collaborative and innovative team that works tirelessly to create an atmosphere where the most valuable ideas can emerge.

ROLE SUMMARY The ARGONAUT Art Director is a creative who tells inspiring stories, sells thoughtful Ideas, is a creative storyteller, and makes beautiful work for their client, alongside their Copywriter partner.

Role responsibilities

Create and refine visual concepts for marketing campaigns, aligning them with brand guidelines and target audiences

Ideate with copywriter on visuals and own creative work from brief to concept to production to completion on given project across any and all brands within the agency

Collaborate with Strategy, Brand Management and Production to ensure ideas are on brief and within budget

Craft beautiful presentations full of arresting visuals. Direct the development and implementation of visual elements, including typography, layout, and overall visual style.

Develop and execute original, on‑brand visual concepts across a wide range of platforms (digital, social, film/video, experiential, OOH, print)

Translate strategic briefs into compelling creative solutions with a strong visual identity. Work closely with producers, designers, editors, and external vendors to bring concepts to life through production

Maintain high visual and executional standards, ensuring brand consistency and attention to detail throughout the process. Use new technology to bring ideas to life

QUALIFICATIONS

2 or more years of experience as an Art Director within the Advertising Industry, in‑house creative teams, or related fields

Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred

Art Director portfolio, or “spec” portfolio demonstrating strong creative abilities

Excellent oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to present and justify creative ideas

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with Figma, After Effects, or Premiere is a plus

Strong understanding of social platforms, digital media, and integrated campaign development a plus

Experience in photo and video shoots, including art direction and post‑production

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
