About the Role
The Carrier Relations Intern will assist the Carrier Relations team in coordinating communication, documentation, and operational processes between the organization and its carrier partners. This entry-level position is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in carrier communications, relationship management, and operational support within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day communication and coordination with carrier partners and internal stakeholders. Tasks include responding to inquiries, gathering required information, and ensuring follow-up on outstanding requests. Help maintain and organize carrier-related documentation, forms, agreements, and operational materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. Support the Carrier Relations team in preparing and distributing written communications, status updates, and meeting materials for carriers and internal teams. Maintain regular communication with carriers/partners and internal parties through video conferencing, written communication, and phone calls (both ad hoc and pre-planned). Collect, enter, and maintain data related to carrier activity, performance metrics, and communication logs. Assist in creating reports to support internal visibility and process improvement. Work closely with internal departments to align carrier-related tasks with organizational goals and support ongoing initiatives. Provide general administrative assistance as needed, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, tracking communications, and maintaining carrier-related documentation. Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask Ability to be detail-oriented Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities Maintain regular communication with carriers/partners and internal parties via video conferencing, written, and telephonic communication Knowledge of Google Suite is a plus Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while being self-motivated and proactive Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Education and Experience:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field Experience in customer service, administrative support, communication-focused roles, or a related field is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
