Fire Suppression Systems Designer
Topa Group, Inc. is partnered with a reputable Fire Protection company in Pittsburgh - we're seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Systems Designer to support the design and coordination of fire suppression systems for commercial and industrial projects. This role focuses on producing accurate, code-compliant designs that meet NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.
Responsibilities: Design fire suppression systems including clean agent, kitchen hood, and specialty systems Prepare shop drawings, layouts, and hydraulic calculations Review project documents and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams Ensure designs comply with NFPA codes and local regulations Support submittals, revisions, and as-built documentation
Qualifications: Experience designing fire suppression systems Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar design software) Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codes Detail-oriented with strong communication skills NICET certification (layout/design) preferred but not required
