Superintendent – Heavy Civil Construction (San Francisco Bay Area) Location:

San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Experience Required:

4+ years in heavy civil construction (earthwork, roadway/hardscapes, concrete structures, wet/dry utilities).

MEP experience required.

Trackwork experience preferred.

About the Role We’re looking for a Superintendent to lead field operations on complex heavy civil projects across the Bay Area. This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience in civil scopes, understands how MEP interfaces with site and structural work, and can keep crews productive, safe, and aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations across

earthwork, grading, roadway/hardscapes, concrete structures, wet/dry underground utilities, and MEP coordination . Manage subcontractors, craft labor, equipment, and materials to maintain schedule, productivity, and quality. Ensure all work is executed safely and in compliance with project specifications, company standards, and local regulations. Read and interpret plans, specs, and shop drawings; resolve field issues and provide direction to crews. Coordinate closely with MEP teams to ensure proper sequencing, utility tie‑ins, and integration with civil scopes. Work with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and owners to track progress, maintain communication, and support project delivery. Oversee quality control, daily reporting, as‑builts, and field documentation. Support look‑ahead planning, resource forecasting, and schedule updates. (Preferred) Assist with or oversee

trackwork

activities, including grading, alignment, ballast, and rail installation.

Qualifications 4+ years of superintendent or foreman‑level experience in heavy civil construction. Strong background in

earthwork, roadway/hardscapes, concrete structures, wet/dry utilities , and

MEP coordination . Trackwork experience is a plus. Ability to lead crews, manage subcontractors, and maintain a safe, efficient jobsite. Strong understanding of civil construction methods, plans, and specifications. Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to Bay Area project sites
