Job Title: Visual Communications Specialist
Location: Reynoldsburg, OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 4-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour (W2)
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
Equipment: Company laptop provided
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Visual Communications Specialist to support a fast-paced retail environment. This role focuses on developing clear, visually structured instructional materials that guide store teams in executing marketing initiatives, promotional setups, and floorset changes consistently across locations. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, capable of organizing large volumes of information into digestible formats, and comfortable managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Design and produce instructional communication materials using Adobe InDesign templates. Translate complex marketing and merchandising strategies into clear, easy-to-follow documents for store associates. Utilize a 3D virtual store platform to gather layout details and ensure accuracy in communications. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail. Implement updates quickly to support evolving business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency across communication tools. Participate in walkthroughs and provide feedback related to store setups and promotional execution. Work both independently and within a team environment to meet deadlines and business objectives.
Required Qualifications 1–3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a corporate or retail environment. Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign with the ability to contribute immediately. Demonstrated experience organizing high volumes of information into well-designed layouts. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities. Proven ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced setting. Self-starter with accountability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Adobe Photoshop. Prior exposure to retail environments or store communications. Portfolio showcasing clean, structured design work.
Interview Process Qualified candidates will participate in a panel interview with the hiring team. The client is targeting a streamlined hiring timeline with the goal of onboarding within the next month.
