We have an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to join a respected construction company in the Newtown, PA area. This role is ideal for candidates with strong field‑based, contractor‑side experience who have directly supervised crews, managed safety, and delivered complex water/wastewater and pump‑station projects.
Responsibilities Oversee and supervise all field operations Direct & motivate crews and subcontractors Maintain strict OSHA‑compliant safety practices Provide crews with tools, materials & job information Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, schedule & cost Interpret project plans, specs & mechanical work scopes Track productivity, manpower, and daily field activities Enforce QA/QC standards and high‑quality workmanship Manage documentation, submittals & material tracking Produce weekly safety reports Respond quickly to changing site conditions and challenges
Basic Requirements 10+ years in heavy civil construction OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 required Proven superintendent experience on mechanical‑focused projects Hands‑on experience with water/wastewater plants & pump stations Strong understanding of OSHA, safety, QA/QC & heavy equipment Able to lead fast‑paced field operations & shifting priorities Proficient with Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license Local/regional travel (within set project radius)
Preferred Experience Mechanical installation in treatment plants Confined‑space work leadership Heavy rigging & equipment setting Pump assembly, piping systems, valves, structural supports Coordination with civil, electrical & instrumentation teams
