
Overview
A leading streaming media client is seeking a Social Media Manager for a temporary assignment starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for an experienced social media professional who can quickly step in, manage day-to-day social activity, and support campaigns across key platforms while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
Location : NYC (hybrid) Type : Freelance (W2 employment) Rate
$30-33/hr Duration : 3 months Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day posting and scheduling across core social media channels, with a focus on
standard platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Reddit . • Own end-to-end social activity on Meta, TikTok, and Reddit, including
content posting, community engagement, and channel-level strategy . • Maintain the content calendar, ensuring consistent, on-brand, and timely social communications across all active platforms. • Partner with internal teams (marketing, content, creative) to support campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives. • Draft, edit, and optimize social copy tailored to each platform and audience, particularly for Meta, TikTok, and Reddit. • Monitor channels for engagement opportunities, community interactions, and basic reputation management; respond to comments and feedback where appropriate. • Track performance of posts and campaigns using native platform insights and available reporting tools. • Provide regular updates on performance trends and actionable insights to the team. • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices relevant to entertainment/streaming and to Meta, TikTok, and Reddit specifically.
Qualifications
• Proven experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or entertainment/streaming organization. • Hands-on experience planning and executing content, engagement, and strategy on Meta, TikTok, and Reddit. • Strong copywriting skills and an understanding of tone, voice, and audience engagement across different platforms. • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
